Our first public charging stations are on their way 🔌☀️

We are working on our neighborhood energy system step by step. And for us, the next step is extra special: our first public charging stations at the Energy House.

For us, this is also a matter of experimentation and learning. How can we connect our solar roofs to collective charging stations, and what role can Zelflevering+ from om | nieuwe energie play in this, so that we can use and deploy locally generated energy as effectively as possible?

Imagine this: you charge your car using local solar energy. Not as a standalone system, but as part of a larger whole in which generation, use, charging, and storage intelligently connect.

Together with Deelstroom Delft, we previously realized a project involving charging stations, a solar roof, and storage — but that was behind the meter. With this new step, we are taking that way of thinking outwards: into the neighborhood.

For us, therefore, those charging stations are more than just a convenient amenity. They are a first step towards a fair, accessible, and local energy system, in which we better match supply and demand and make the best possible use of locally generated energy.

For us, this also includes a fair price: a price that reflects local ownership, in which benefits and burdens are distributed more fairly, and in which access to energy remains important for everyone.

Charge locally!
